01 — Our Story
Born from 17 years of real craft.
It started long before Freebird had a name. For over a decade, we were in the thick of it — studios, sets, late-night render farms, impossible deadlines, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with making animation for real. We worked with people from every corner of the world, across every kind of project imaginable.
And somewhere along the way — after all those years and all those collaborations — we realised something quietly remarkable: we'd built a way of working that actually works. Not just technically, but humanly. A way where people feel safe to be creative, take risks, and make something they're genuinely proud of.

Since opening our doors, Freebird has grown into a creative-led independent animation production company trusted by clients across Digital Media, Television, Features, Gaming, and Commercials. We create stand-out animations for commercials, children's series, and branding — and we pour everything we've got into every single frame.
Our family is bigger now than when we started. But the warmth — that sense that everyone here belongs — hasn't changed one bit. And it never will.

The engineer turned designer is a master of all trades. He intuitively puts together a clients fragmented brief and initial ideas of his creative team, to build that essential bridge between the two. He makes sure that all the gears of the entire Girgit machinery are well.
Anuj Kumar
Director/ Designer
Anuj is an artist at heart and scientist at brain. This enables him to effortlessly jiggle art and technology and create spectacular visual experiences. He experiments with various techniques of animation and is in love with motion in art. Don't ever leave your stuff near him.
